Happy Independence Day!

Vacation Pack!
Tasty Tuesday: Cycling w/ Cidre
Saturday Tasting: Closed for the 4th!

Greetings! top
Red, White, & Blue!

We'd like to wish a happy Fourth and a very festive holiday weekend to all of our customers in the Triangle and beyond! Exercise caution while firing explosives into the sky and liberally (but responsibly!) imbibing celebratory libations. Whether you're grillin' outdoors or chillin' in, we have the right wines for all of your patriotic plans. Cheers!

But wait! There's more red, white, and blue goodness to explore! Venturing deeper into July, we'll take a closer look at (and taste of) the many new selections that we've lately acquired from the land of the rising baguette.  July is "Tour de France" month at Wine Authorities, and we'll follow the rapidly peddling athletes on their journey. Take a look at the tastings we have lined up in the side bar to the right...

Tasty Tuesday!
Cycle with Cidre!
This Tuesday, July 7th, we present our FREE
midweek wine tasting! Every Tuesday is tasty...

5:00 - 7:00 pm

Next Tuesday, we're embarking on our month-long "Tour de France" series of tastings with the famous Ciders of Normandy! On the very day that the Tour's cyclists plunge from Belgium into the heart of Normandy, we'll be pouring three of the region's wonderful fermented apple (and pear) based delights. Equally perfect for our Carolinian July, the refreshingly tart imbibement is exactly the sort of drink that we want to down following a vigorous bike ride. Just don't forget your helmet!
And don't forget:
Our Tasty Tuesday 15% Half-Case Discount!
After you taste, put together 6 bottles from our Tasty Tuesday lineup, and we'll take an entire 15% off!

Race to Mont Ventoux w/ Aureto
The Mont Ventoux is one of the most iconic landscapes encountered by the cyclists of the Tour de France. Far from simply being a place to struggle while riding your bike, the Ventoux region is part of the the Southern Rhone and overlooks the beautiful Mediterranean countryside of Provence! Needless to say, they grow healthy, happy grapes there. Aureto is a rising producer striving to elevate the region's stature (no pun intended) without compromising the character of these historically humble but very distinctive wines. The trio that we'll be tasting next Saturday (the 11th) is bold, beautiful, and almost as imposing as the mount itself! Remember, we're closed this Saturday, so this tasting takes place next week...

BERRYISH BLACKNESS, VIBRANT PINPRICKS OF PEPPER, GARGANTUAN GARRIGUES
In the southesternmost reaches of France's Rhone Valley, stretching out below Ventoux into Provence, the Cotes du Luberon are provided with monumental doses of Mediterranean influence and stone-soaking sunshine. With a climate and terroir like those found here, scarcely any miracle is necessary in order to yield a sturdy, broad

CONCENTRATED DARK FRUIT, CHOCOLATE & EARTH, BLACK PEPPER

GLEAMING BLACKBERRY, LEATHERY EARTH, PEPPER
Though retaining the concentrated ripeness and intense Mediterranean spice that we associate with the Rhone/Provence's traditional grape varieties, this bold red features a more experimental cast of characters. Cabernet Sauvignon, while certainly no stranger to Provence, has joined an ensemble featuring Caladoc (the twisted lovechild of Grenache & Malbec) and Marselan (a crossing of Grenache & Cabernet)...
