A Spanish Flair for the Springtime Air!
Join us this Saturday and next Tuesday as we conduct a springtime tour of two signature northern Spanish regions! Saturday's feature of Navarra's Viña Aliaga will serve as an unveiling of new vintages for a few longstanding favorites - perhaps the best so far! Tuesday, we once again celebrate Saint Patrick's Day with the greenest stretch of Spain, the northwest's Galicia! The region takes its name from the Gaelic peoples that settled there two millennia ago, making it doubly appropriate for the Irish holiday. Check out more details on both tastings further below in this email. Ole!

Tasty Tuesday:
Wear Green with
Galicia! (on Saint Patrick's Day)
This Tuesday, March 17th, we present our FREE midweek wine tasting! Every Tuesday is tasty...
On Saint Patrick's Day, we're featuring wines from one of the most Gaelic corners of mainland Europe, Spain's Galicia! Galicia is affectionately referred to as "Green Spain", and not only is its signature color suited perfectly to the Irish holiday, but Galicia actually takes its name from the Celtic people that settled there over two thousand years ago. The region's wines are unique and focus on grapes which are found only in Iberia's Northwest. Godello, Albariño, and Mencia will provide us the perfect Galician experience. Don't forget to wear green (at least in spirit)!
And don't forget:
Our Tasty Tuesday 15% Half-Case Discount!
After you taste, put together 6 bottles from our Tasty Tuesday lineup, and we'll take an entire 15% off!

our FREE tasting
Northern Spain's Navarra is a region with a rich history and an impressive palette of grapes to paint with. Viña Aliaga hails from the southwest corner of this region which borders Rioja and specializes in fabulously long-lived reds as well as youthful wines brimming with refreshing energy. The family estate's Carlos is a visionary, clearly following his passions and producing the wines that speak to him and, in turn, to us! Those of us who've had a chance to try many of Carlos Aliaga's wines have probably noticed that he's not afraid to experiment (even exploring varietals not typically associated with the region). Join us this Saturday to learn (and taste) more about this exceptional producer!
Viña Aliaga
100% Verdejo
(Navarra, Spain)
GINGER & CITRUS BLOSSOM, LIME & GRAPEFRUIT, NO OAK In some previous vintages, Aliaga's Verdejo was harvested very ripe and aged in oak barrels making for a rich, but less distinct wine. For this vintage, they turned 180º and made the wine with juicy, mouthwatering grapes and...
Viña Aliaga
100% Tempranillo (Navarra, Spain)
SPICY, LIGHTLY SMOKY, CRUSHED BLACK FRUIT Winegrower Carlos Aliaga's father planted the vines here more than 45 years ago and, being just two kilometers from Rioja, chose Tempranillo over the typical Garnacha which dominates southern Navarra. Here, in the heart of the Ribera Baja zone, he coaxes loads of berry flavor from the...
Viña Aliaga
Navarra Tinto 2012 "Cuvée"
85% Tempranillo, 15% Cab Sauv
(Navarra, Spain)
BLACK PLUM & BOLD BERRY, CREAMY OAK & TOAST, FIRM BACKBONE Carlos Aliaga crafted this cuvée through not only blending one of Navarra's most beloved traditional grapes (Tempranillo) with a more recent arrival to the area (France's Cabernet Sauvignon) but also through combining modern and traditional techniques...
Navarra Tinto 2005 "Reserva de la Familia"
75% Tempranillo, 25% Cab Sauv
CHERRY & ORANGE PEEL, OAKY MATURITY, SILKY PERFECTION A showstopper! The mahogany colored edge is just a hint that the wine has been maturing for some time. The nose leans old-school with orange peel and dried cherries, while silky tannin and an impression of creaminess lend decadence to the palate...
