 Catfish!
According to an official, lawful decree from our 40th President, June 25th is National Catfish Day! We here at Wine Authorities revere the mighty catfish with a patriotic fervor, and we consider it our duty to raise awareness of these beautiful, mercurial, and delicious beasts. Saturday may be the first day of summer (of Riesling), but Wednesday is the Aequinoctium Autem Silurus - The Catfish Solstice. National Catfish Day is almost here; come celebrate with us!

This Saturday, kick off the summer with the...
This Saturday marks the official beginning of summer, and so it's our honor to once again fly the flag of one of the most strikingly vibrant, uncompromising, and enduring white grapes. Riesling is a champion of the season and refreshes our palates and souls with its combination of zesty citrus, mouthwatering acidity, and elegantly mineralistic charm. Join us this Saturday for examples from the varietal's home along Germany's Rhein as well as a few of its favorite haunts abroad - Austria's Wachau, France's Alsace, and Washington State's Columbia Valley. Dare we take this opportunity to suggest that crisp, zesty Riesling makes for a delightful pairing partner with traditional fried catfish? Of course we do.
