THE CAUSE
The most recent agriculture census reported that NC was tied for first in the nation in loss of farmland in 2007. Loss of North Carolina farms is equally alarming with a loss of half of the farms from 100,000 farms in 1976 to 52,500 farms in 2008. Nationally, we have lost 1 million acres of farmland since 1997 and there are now more people in prisons than on farms. With the average age of farmers now 59, it is critical that we support the training and development of new farmers. Proceeds of the Farm to Fork Picnic support the new farmer training programs at CEFS and the Breeze Farm.
Adult ticket (21+) - $100 Youth ticket (13-20) - $50 Free for children 12 & under.
Proceeds benefit farmer apprentice and internship programs.

This Tuesday, June 10th, we present our FREE midweek wine tasting. Every Tuesday is tasty!
The shimmering mirage: a tell-tale sign that summer has arrived. This week, at our free Tuesday tasting, we'll be sampling selections which come complete with their own delightful shimmer - three not-quite-bubblies which are the perfect companions to the onset of a sultry North Carolinian summer. We'll begin with a pristine Txakoli which exudes lime and a deliciously chalky charm before hopping into a Prosecco of the frizzante-est kind. We'll wrap things up in Austria's Burgenland with a Pinot Noir rosé that just won't quit. So cheers to summer and the always welcome oasis in a bottle that is effervescent wine!
And don't forget:
Our Tasty Tuesday 15% Half-Case Discount!
After you taste, put together 6 bottles from our Tasty Tuesday lineup, and we'll take an entire 15% off!
