PAAAAARRTTTYYY! Garden Party, to be exact, in honor of the annual blooming of our Rosé Garden, often referred to by historians as The Greatest Thing on Earth. To match our garden's pink, juicy glory, we're throwing an ambitious two-city simultaneous Rosé Rager on Saturday, May 17th. Oysters will be shucked, fish will be fried, and (of course) the wine will flow. More details will be revealed in the coming weeks, but we wanted to send this early invite so we all have a chance to save the date and plan our Garden Party Outfits.
Oh yeah, you're definitely gonna need a Garden Party Outfit...
  (more details soon to follow)

Boxes are Blooming!
While you might have heard of "Christmas in July," "Boxing Day in May" is probably slightly less familiar. That's okay! We're here to fill you in on all the juicy details. Returning just in time for all our favorite vernal festivities is a stable of beloved Rhone and Provençal boxed wines.  Domaine Le Garrigon's famous Vin de Méditerranée and Cotes du Rhone, along with Domaine Pinchinat's Venus Rouge and Rosé, are finally back!  We also welcome our newest arrival to the wild world of 3L, Apaltagua's "Gran Verano" Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile's Curico, which joins the estate's crisp, tropical box o' Sauvignon Blanc!    To celebrate all the boxy goodness we have going on up in here, our next Saturday Tasting (May 3rd) features the wines of Domaine Pinchinat, an estate which knows that it's sometimes best to think inside the box, so glass bottles are set to share the spotlight with space-age sachets forged of mylar and cardboard.

Tasty Tuesday!
Go Green (with Vinho Verde)! Featuring the wines of Anselmo Mendes

This Tuesday, May 5th, we present our FREE midweek wine tasting.  Every Tuesday is tasty!

Spritzy, refreshingly tart, and the very essence of crisp, summer vibrancy, Vinho Verde simultaneously lives up to its reputation and goes beyond it. Vinho Verde is, after all, not simply a style of wine from Portugal.  It is the country's northernmost region - a region that is stretching its legs and re-evaluating its identity with wines that sometimes replace the spritz with riper, richer flavors.  Join us this Tuesday as we take a closer look at a few of Vinho Verde's many faces courtesy of the region's legendary producer, Anselmo Mendes. We'll begin with effervescent expectations, and from there, delve deeper into the region's graceful whites.

And don't forget:
Our Tasty Tuesday 15% Half-Case Discount!
After you taste, put together 6 bottles from our Tasty Tuesday lineup, and we'll take an entire 15% off!

"Venus Blanc" 2012
{organic} 100% Rolle (Vermentino)
(Provence, France)

FLORAL, CITRUS & PEACH. DRY & VERY REFRESHING Fresh, crisp, dry and clean, this white is made from Rolle, a grape varietal that's obscure to most Americans, but essential in southern France and even southern Italy were it's known as Vermentino. Considered to be one...

"Venus Rosé" 2013
{organic} Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah  (Provence, France)
WHITE CHERRY & CITRUS, SPRING FLOWERS, CRISP & DRY! Although the vines for this wine are within the Cotes de Provence appellation and meet all of the criteria including the correct grapes, they are at the bottom of the hills that get that designation. This wine is a stunning value and a...

DARK BERRIES, CURRANTS, SMOKE. SMOOTH. The vineyards of Pinchinat have been farmed for wine grapes since the Romans occupied this area 2000 years ago. The famous Venus of Aix en Provence and dozens of other Paleolithic artifacts have been found among these very vines...

DRIED BERRIES, SUBTLE SPICES, PRETTY & FIRM Alain de Welle is a nice, peaceful man. As the owner and manager of Pinchinat, it's his vision that is expressed in each glass of his wine that is served these days. Although his family has farmed this vineyard for over two centuries (and the land farmed back to pre-history), his father broke from tradition and raised him in the nearby city of Aix. Alain returned to his family's roots...
