Like the seasons, we of Wine Authorities are in one of those in-between periods. A literal boatload of our favorite wines is on its way from Europe, and we can't wait for it to get here! But instead of pacing restlessly through the night, we've taken this opportunity to feel tremendous gratitude to our discerning and fun-loving customers. We wouldn't be sold out of a bunch of stuff unless our customers loved said stuff! But our shipments (barring storms and pirates) are truly imminent, and enormous container loads of favorites old and new are about to roll into both stores. So keep your eyes on the shelves, and we'll keep in touch!

Rosé Sale:
20% Still off ALL Still Rosé!
That's right, baby. There's still time to save with our annual springtime rosé sale, and it's real, real nice... Yes, the time has come for us to dust off our garden shears (and garden gnomes) in preparation for the monumental marvel of landscape architecture which is the Rosé Garden. Just thinking about it instills in us an almost unquenchable thirst for this noblest of pink drinks! Though it's not yet quite time for the Garden, we have a host of wonderfully vibrant rosés in stock to choose from at a deep discount. All still rosé is 20% off for a limited time, so enjoy and celebrate the arrival of spring!

This Tuesday, April 8th, we present our FREE midweek wine tasting. Every Tuesday is tasty!
The grapes of the so called "Pinot Family" are a fairly diverse bunch (pun firmly intended), and despite a reputation for caprice they've managed to gain footholds all over the world. Join us on Tuesday as we explore this ancient and mutation-prone grape in it's three most famous forms. We'll start with a juicy Pinot Blanc from Alsace and continue to a rich, orange-hued Pinot Grigio that defies the conventional wisdom. We'll finish with a spicy, cherried-out Austrian Pinot Noir, and the circle will be complete!
And don't forget
Our Tasty Tuesday 15% Half-Case Discount!
After you taste, put together 6 bottles from our Tasty Tuesday lineup, and we'll take an entire 15% off!

Catalunya & Aragon
Just last week, we ventured through Mediterranean France's Languedoc. This Saturday, we pick up right where we left off, crossing the border into northeastern Spain and trading our Occitan for Catalan and Aragonese. We'll begin in the Catalonian province of Barcelona, less than half an hour from the city of the same name, where we'll encounter bubbly Cava and an elegantly racy still white made from the region's signature grapes. Next, we'll venture further inland to Tarragona's Priorat, an appellation increasingly revered as home to some of Spain's most impressive reds. We'll finish the afternoon in southern Aragón, the ancient birthplace of the pan-Mediterranean prime minister of grape varietals, Garnacha (aka Grenache). Salut!
Mas Codina
Cava Brut
50% Macabeu, 35% Xarel-lo, 10% Chardonnay, 5% Pinot Noir
(Alt Penedès, Catalunya)
CLEAN & AROMATIC, INTENSE & LOVELY On the last day of a recent trip to Spain, we found this lovely small winery on a "down-low" tip from one of the owners of the top quality estate of this entire region. It ended up being a fantastic find for us, as this bubbly has...
Can Feixes
"Blanc Selecció" 2012
{organic} 49% Parellada, 28% Macabeu, 17% Chardonnay, 6% Malvasia de Stiges (Alt Penedès, Catalunya)
MINERALS, PEAR, LEMON. FAINT SPRITZ, LONG FINISH From the highest elevation vineyard in all of the Penedès appellation comes this sophisticated white from just outside of Barcelona. This is Spain's answer to the fine, very dry wines of Chablis, Muscadet, and Rheingau. The grapes used are typically those found in Cava, and this still wine shows them as subtle and complex...
60% Carinyena, 40% Garnaxta (Priorat, Catalunya)
CONCENTRATED BERRY, BOLD MINERALLY SPICE, NO OAK Priorat is known for its often titanic reds - imposingly ripe and typically aged in new oak barrels which may give them a more "respectable" polish but often at the expense of subtlety and complexity. Here we have pure Priorat made from the core grapes, Garnatxa & Carinyena (Grenache & Carignan) but without the...
Bodegas Tempore
Garnacha 2010 "G"
{organic} 45% Grenache (Tierra del Bajo, Aragón)
RICH BLACKBERRY, SPICY FIG, SILKY COCOA Another beautiful take on Aragón's native Garnacha grape from Bodegas Tempore, and this one tips the scales. The iconic "G" only spends four months in oak, which speaks to how naturally luscious and concentrated the juice was before the winemakers plied their trade. Redolent of spice, coffee, and cocoa...
