Might as well etch the date into the stone in the Halls of Wine-a-zuma, because Wine Authorities is declaring next week Bordeaux Week! Our shelves are graced with the most diverse and exciting selection of Bordeaux wines, both white and red, that we have ever stocked. Now seems the perfect time to celebrate that fact! We'll be exploring great and surprising values in Bordeaux at our upcoming Tasty Tuesday, and next Thursday in Durham, we're dedicating out first class of 2014 to this "King of Wines." We still have a few spots left, so sign up now for a chance to taste some of the most prestigious (and delicious) wines in the world. You will be able to taste history. Onward to details!

Tasty Tuesday!
Bodacious Bordelais Values
This Tuesday, January 28th, we present our FREE midweek wine tasting. Every Tuesday is tasty!
The wines of Bordeaux have a reputation for ostentatiously high prices and a fanbase which scrambles all over itself in great piles of conspicuous wealth and filet mignon just to clutch desperately at a few cases of the latest buzz vintage. Meanwhile, some truly outstanding values from Bordeaux glide casually under the radar, where they are enjoyed by relaxed wine drinkers who still have some cash left over to spend on a nice (for example) skirt steak. Join us on Tuesday as we break open the vault of inexpensive Bordeaux with a crisply refreshing, intensely flavorful white and two elegantly rich, appropriately powerful reds!
And don't forget:
Tasty Tuesday 15%
After you taste, put together 6 bottles from our Tasty Tuesday lineup, and we'll take an entire 15% off!

MEINKLANG: A BIODYNAMIC DUO
The wines of Angela & Werner Michlits
Burgenland, Austria: Werner and Angela Michlits run the wine side of their family farm, Meinklang, which is a true biodynamic universe. They grow grapes and make wine while the rest of the family focuses on vegetable crops, cows and pigs, micro brew beer, and heirloom apple cider - all staying true to the principles of biodynamic agriculture! This Saturday, explore their world and its wines with a tasting featuring four remarkable selections - two made from distinctly Austrian varietals and two from internationally savvy French grapes. Prost!
Meinklang
Pinot Noir Rosé Frizzante 2012 "Prosa" {biodynamic} 100% Pinot Noir
(Burgunland, Austria)
CRISP, DRY & LIGHTLY SPARKLING. CUSTOMER FAVORITE! Werner and Angela first produced this rosé exclusively for their wedding. Now, it's regularly produced in small quantities. Its lush fruit, slight effervescence and soft, creamy mouth-feel is the perfect way to start a meal or afternoon...
Meinklang
Grüner Veltliner 2012
{biodynamic} 100% Grüner Veltliner (Burgenland, Austria) CRISP GREEN APPLE, EXOTICALLY FLORAL, LIGHTLY SMOKY MINERALS While Burgenland is not Grüner's most famous stomping ground, this is a standout for its dry racy style layered with exotic citrus, fresh zippy texture and lip smacking acidity...
Meinklang
Pinot Gris 2012 "Graupert"
{biodynamic} 100% Pinot Gris (Burgenland, Austria)
MINERAL, PEAR, FULL-BODIED, RICH, EXOTIC This Pinot Gris is produced in a unique method of never pruning the vines. "Graupert," German for uncombed hair, refers to their wild growth! The result is a naturally low-yielding, super-concentrated, full-flavored Pinot Gris that can outshine similar wines at twice its price...
Meinklang
"Burgunland Red" 2012 {biodynamic} 60% Zweigelt, 30% Blaufränkisch, 10% Sankt Laurent (Burgunland, Austria)
DYNAMIC, ELEGANT & FRESH. CHERRY & RASPBERRY The Michlits' Burgenland Red Blend is an all-get-out drinkin' wine. With sexy fruit aromas like an exuberant perfume, the raspberry and cherry fruit gushes from the glass but remains dry and tasty....
