Greetings!
Thanks again to you, our loyal customers!
Allow us to take a moment and express our gratitude to our lovely customers in Durham, the Triangle, and beyond for once again voicing your affection for us and what we do. We promise not to tear up or get too schmaltzy on you, but we are deeply touched, and we can't express how much we appreciate your receptiveness to us and to our mission! You've voted Wine Authorities the Best Wine Store of the Triangle in the Independent Weekly for the fifth time in five years. As we approach our six year mark, we know unequivocally that we have the best friends and customers that anyone could wish for, and we thank you!

It's here at long last! The pink oasis that refreshes our mouths and nourishes our souls is once again in bloom! The Rosé Garden has arrived, and speaking of fresh, we're kicking off the garden this year with selections that include a couple of brand new, never-before-in-the-US, Wine Authorities exclusives - a tangy Garnacha rosado from the grape's birthplace in Spain and a most juicy Mediterranean thirst quencher (watch out!) made entirely from Cinsault. As always, a portion of each and every bottle of rosé sold will be donated to the fight against breast cancer.

"I know that I drink better wine that supports practices I can believe in. I never buy wine anywhere but your store any more. Ever."

Austria's flag is comprised of bold bars of red and white. Mix them together, and what do you get? Pink! Join us at our next Tasty Tuesday for three of the first 2012 rosés to make landfall (just in time for our increasingly summery weather). Hailing from Carnuntum, Wachau, and Wagram, this trio of glimmeringly bright, zesty pink wines plucked fresh from the Garden will be the perfect accompaniment to a balmy Tuesday evening and the approach of summer!
And don't forget:

After you taste, put together 12 bottles from our Tasty Tuesday lineup, and we'll take an entire 20% off!

This Saturday from 12 to 3 PM
"try before you buy" at
our FREE tasting
This Saturday, we're journeying to the wild wild west, harnessing our spirit of adventure in the name of showcasing adventurous Californian wines. While North America's wine capital has clearly made a name for itself with bold Cabernet, big, creamy Chard, and sumptuously spicy Zinfandel, there's much more to contemporary Cali vino! At this week's tasting, we'll uncover dry rosé, exotic whites made from grapes that we typically associate with France's Loire Valley and Austria, and a red which dares to ask what would happen were the Rhone Valley and Tuscany to collide! This isn't Cali 101. These are the deep cuts, and they're spectacular!
