Stolpman Vineyards
Free Special Monday Tasting!
Stolpman Collage
Hosted by the estate's
Peter Stolpman
As if it weren't enough that young Pete Stolpman co - owns and manages Stolpman Vineyards alongside his parents, he's also something of a wine adventurer.  His extensive blogs not only detail the daily goings on among the family's vines and tanks, they also follow his travels to the classical regions from which the estate's favorite grapes sprang.  This Monday, his travels bring him to our neck of the woods, and he'll be stepping behind our tasting bar to pour four of Stolpman's Santa Ynez masterpieces.  He'll begin with an awesomely refreshing odd-man-out, the estate's crisp yet powerful Sauvignon Blanc.  From there, it'll be Rhone varietals all the way - a very distinctive, powerfully aromatic Roussane and two imposing examples of the estate's signature specialty, Syrah.  See you there!

Small Vineyards
With Small Vineyards
at a special free tasting
next Thursday (March 14th)
5:00 - 7:00 pm
Good things don't always come in small packages, but the most special wines do come, without exception, from small producers.  This evening, join our guest pourer, Jody Allen of the specialist importer Small Vineyards, as he offers samples of five great wines from his Italian portfolio.  The core philosophy of Small Vineyards is one after our own hearts.  They specialize exclusively in producers who are among the 10% smallest of their respective Italian and Spanish regions, growing all of their own grapes.

Wear green with Galicia!

Galicia
.
This Saturday, in honor of Saint Patrick's Day, we're wearing green with wines from "Green Spain,"  better known as Galicia!  Not only are the region's colors suited perfectly to the Irish holiday, but Galicia actually takes its name from the Celtic peoples that settled there over two thousand years ago.  Perhaps there are even Galician leprechauns?  The region's wines are unique and focus on grapes which are found only in Iberia's Northwest - Godello, Albariño, and Mencia.  We'll be sampling four of these delicious and distinctive wines at our tasting this Saturday.  Don't forget to wear green!
