top Greetings!
Sustain-a-Bull Sale:
a week of Wine Authorities Selections! A Wine Authorities Selection
Following this year's Thanksgiving holiday, we're rolling out one of our most exciting sales so far, giving everyone a chance to explore, enjoy, and save with our dedicated "Wine Authorities Selections" - wines that we've personally scouted out and brought to NC!  Many of them are unavailable anywhere else in the country.  Beginning on Saturday, November 24th, we once again join the Durham-wide Sustain-a-Bull organization, helping to encourage the support of locally-owned independent businesses.  Every one of our exclusive " Sustain-a-Bull Wine Authorities Selections" will be a full 20% off throughout the week!
As an added bonus, any purchase over $200 will receive a FREE stocking stuffer: a $20 Enomatic card to give or keep for yourself!
Also on Saturday, American Express is offering a $25 statement credit for shopping with small businesses, including us.  We hope you'll take advantage of their offer here!

"I brought my friend form the wine country of California here last week.  She adored the store and wishes that she had one back home."

A Wine Authorities Selection:
Valencia's Bodegas Los Frailes

Frailes, Bodegas Los Bodegas Los Frailes continually impresses us as a producer with a rare knack for embracing modernity while remaining true to the legacy of its region.  The wines are bold, vibrant, impeccably focused, organic, and (above all) delicious!  Winemaker/owners Miguel Velazquez and his sister Maria José Velazquez are great people.  This Saturday, we're kicking off a week-long Sustain-a-Bull celebration of Durham's many outstanding independently owned businesses with a free tasting of five wines from this exceptional producer.  Among them are some stellar values (for holiday parties, perhaps?) and great potential gifts.  On Saturday and throughout the following week, these and all other dedicated "Wine Authorities Selections" are 20% off!
(WEEKLY WINE: $12 to $19.99)

Blanc de Trilogia

Bodegas Los Frailes

"Blanc de Trilogia" 2011

{organic} 70% Sauvignon Blanc,

20% Muscat, 10% Verdil

(Valencia, Spain)

2011 is the third vintage for this new and very limited white from Los Frailes. Only 500 cases are produced each year from meticulously selected grapes, and the result is every bit as exotic and enchanting as it is rare. With bright tangy fruit reminiscent of...

Monastrell Rosé

Bodegas Los Frailes

Monastrell Rosado 2011

{organic} 100% Monastrell

 (Valencia, Spain)

Wow, this lovely pink colored wine from the almost black Monastrell grape is a dry Rosé for both white and red wine lovers alike. It's richly satisfying like a red but crisp and refreshing like a white. The Los Frailes wines from the Velazquez family are rising stars in...

Monastrell Bodegas Los Frailes

Monastrell 2010

{organic} 100% Monastrell

 (Valencia, Spain)

The sandy dry soils of Valencia yield outstanding Monastrell grapes full of ripe berry goodness. Oodles of blackberry and black cherry fall out of the glass, cascading into a velvet robe cradling your tongue in a bath of heavenly silky fruit. Okay, enough wine talk. This is just plain great...

Bodegas Los Frailes
Valencia Tinto 2007
"La MoMa"

The name Moma is a blending of MOnastrell with MArselan. Marselan is a crossing of Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon. After 3

Bodegas Los Frailes
"After 3" 2009 [500 ml]
Late-Harvest Old Vine Monastrell

{organic} 100% Monastrell

(Valencia, Spain)

By the middle of November, Bodegas Los Frailes' old-vine Monastrell is about as ripe as it can get, and a manual harvest means the grapes in this beautiful dessert wine are concentrated to the point of becoming raisins. This is no syrupy ice-cream topping, however, but a beautiful example of....
