Tasty Tuesday!
"Tuesday in Alsace"
With Cave Freudenreich
This Tuesday, November 13th, we present our mid-week FREE wine tasting. Every Tuesday is tasty! From 5:00 - 7:00, we host this bonus tasting of three wines to get you through the early week and land you safely on hump day!
This week, journey with us to one of France's most heralded regions for white wine and one which has strangely joined the ranks of its most underrepresented. Alsace is famous for the minerality, ethereal perfume, and age-worthy acidity often found in its wines, and we've fallen in love with these traits (as well as exceptionally great value - including our newest liter-sized bottle) in the wines of Cave Freudenreich. Join us this Tuesday as we showcase a trio of these great new wines!
And don't forget:
Tasty Tuesday 20%
Mixed Case Discount!
After you taste, put together 12 bottles from our Tasty Tuesday lineup, and we'll take an entire 20% off!

(WEEKLY WINE: $12 to $19.99)
Bedin
Prosecco "Treveso" Brut
100% Prosecco
(Veneto, Italy)
CRISP WHITE PEACH & FRESH APRICOT, CLEAN & REFRESHING Prosecco, a Venetian grape associated almost exclusively with sparkling (and semi-sparkling) wines has captured the hearts and tongues of wine-drinkers the world over. Originating from a single contiguous hillside vineyard, Bedin's Brut brings the bubbles, the refreshing elegance, and the fun...

(DAILY WINE: $11.99 or LESS) Steininger "Young" 2011 70% Grüner Veltliner, 20% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Muscat (Kamptal, Austria)
CRAZY GOOD BLEND! CRISP, FRUITY, FUN, ELEGANT & DRY One of the wackiest people I know is an Austrian guy named Peter who completely reverses the stereotype of Germans and Austrians as serious, methodical types. I feel the same way about this wine. As the generalization about Austrian wine goes, they are supposed to be serious, subtle and mysterious. This wine is...
On Sale $11.99 [Full Description]
(DAILY WINE: $11.99 or LESS) Binz Riesling Trocken 2011 100% Riesling (Rheinhessen, Germany)
(1L = 33% MORE!)
LEMON & KIWI, BRIGHT ACIDITY, VERY DRY Half a decade ago, we visited this winery while on a German wine-buying trip. Five years later, we can still confirm that the Binz estate is responsible for some of the Rheinhessen's (and Germany's) greatest values. Located on the "red slope" between Nackenheim and Oppenheim, beautiful red earth-atop-limestone.... On Sale $14.99 [Full description]
(WEEKLY WINE: $12 to $19.99)
Vinae Mureri
"Xiloca" Garnacha 2011
100% Garnacha (Aragón, Spain) LUSH, JUICY RASPBERRY PIE, TANGY, YOUTHFUL In Jiloca at Pago de la Moratilla, the locals claim this is the birthplace of the Garnacha (Grenache) grape. José Antonio Martín returns to his hometown to work the high altitude, very old, low-yielding Garnacha vines of his forefathers. Coaxing juicy raspberry fruit from vines growing.... On Sale $12.99 [Full description]
(WEEKLY WINE: $12 to $19.99) 100% Lagrein (Alto Adige, Italy) SPICE, COFFEE & DARK BERRY. DIGNIFIED & DELIBERATE Italy's Alto Adige/Südtirol has seen it's fair share of friction and political dispute, so this excellent Lagrein stands even more poignantly as a beacon of beauty and harmony. If good Lagrein is all about structure, then this example from J. Hofstätter is comparable to the work of architect Mies Van Der Rohe: clean, sleek.... On Sale $19.99 [Full description]
