Run or Walk with FPC in the SpeakUp5K

Please join fellow FPC members and friends on Saturday, September 12 for the second annual SpeakUp5k. Held in Richmond's Byrd Park, the SpeakUp5k is the signature event of the Cameron K. Gallagher Memorial Foundation whose mission is to cultivate awareness and understanding for those suffering from teenage depression and anxiety. To learn more, visit fpcrichmond.org/care.

The Marriage Course: Skills to Enrich Any Relationship

Sundays, September 20 - November 1 9:45 am - 10:45 am Room 205

This course is designed to help any couple invest in their marriage and make it stronger and better. Every marriage has joys and challenges, and the skills learned in these classes can enrich your life together. Whether you are engaged, married or in a committed relationip and have been together a few months or many years, all are welcome.

Each week, we will spend time getting to know each other, view a DVD, and then have time for couples to discuss a topic together. Our course leaders are Dorothy and Stephen Kuffler, who navigate the topics with humor and acceptance. In addition to the experiences of their 23-year marriage, Dorothy and Stephen have been extensively trained in Marriage Enrichment leadership.

Children's Minstry Needs You This Fall

We are seeking a few new teachers for FPC Children's Sunday School. Won't you consider joining one of our teaching teams?

A teaching team is typically a group of three or four adults, both experienced and novice, who take responsibility for one of our children's classes (preschool through grade 5) and teach Sunday mornings on a rotating basis. Curriculum and materials are all provided.

Teaching Sunday School is a great way to get to know our wonderful FPC children. Please consider taking part in this ministry during this coming school year.

Baptism Class for Parents

Sunday, August 23 11:15 am

Baptism and Nurturing the Spiritual Life of Your Children will be offered in Room 205 on August 23 at 11:15 am. This class will give you practical hands-on ways to grow in your faith as a parent and to help your child grow into his or her faith.

Baptism and Nurturing the Spiritual Life of Your Children is required for parents prior to their child's baptism being scheduled. The cost of the class is $20 per couple. Lunch is provided and childcare will be available by request. To sign up, contact Leigh Perry, 358-2383, ext. 129.
