Our Thanks to VBS Volunteers
|
This past week 37 children and 38 volunteers have been on an action-packed adventure with our G-Force: God's Love in Action Vacation Bible School. For four days, children ages 4-grade 1 have explored the depths of God's Word. Eleven children in grades 2-5 worked in our Music and Art Camp to put on the children's musical, Elijah, for the VBS children and their families on Thursday. You can view some photos here! We are grateful for the hard work of Candy Snyder, Chairperson of Children's Ministry Council; Christy Harmon, VBS Director; and Suzanne Riehl, Minister of Music, who made these two camps possible. Our deepest thanks also go to our wonderful volunteers, who gave of their time to make this a very special week for our children.

Jonah: More Than a Fish Tale
|
Sundays in June 9:00 - 9:50 am Room 218
You may have heard about Jonah being swallowed by a whale, but what about the rest of the story? The story of Jonah is a long tale that deals with surprisingly contemporary issues: resentments against national enemies, running away from God, revenge and forgiveness, anger at God and God's relentless grace.

June 28 The Big Pout
Our teacher is the engaging Bruce Miller. He is the artistic director for Virginia Repertory Theatre, a Presbyterian elder, and a seasoned Bible teacher who knows how to bring a story to life. Rosalind Banbury is his sidekick.

Thank You for a GREAT George Mason Book Fair
|
Thank you for providing so many wonderful books for the May 14 George Mason book fair and ice cream party. Our church contributed 400 books collected during the February book drive which, when added to those donated by our partner churches, allowed each of our 460 students to select four books for summer reading.
Two delighted kindergartners show off their selections!
