Cedar Village E-News
October 12, 2012

Greetings!

We began the week by sharing in festive Simchat Torah observances. It is one of those wonderful moments when we really see the Cedar Village family come together. On Tuesday morning there were services in the Temple and in the Synagogue which were followed by a joint Kiddush and Torah celebration.

This weekend will also be marked by some special services and celebrations. On Saturday morning all of our Israel travelers, both from Cedar Village and Otterbein, will come together for services in the Temple. On Sunday morning, the same group will all gather at Otterbein to experience services there. It is really the culmination of all of the interfaith education that has been underway, preparing for the Building Bridges Mission which begins on October 24. We'd love to have you join us for services at Cedar Village--we begin at 10 a.m.

And a reminder that our Western Wall replica is still up in the Cedar Village lobby. There are many notes and prayers already tucked into the crevices of that "wall" and there is room for more! All of those notes and prayers will be collected, brought along on the Mission and then carefully tucked into the actual Western Wall in Jerusalem. Please feel free to stop by with your own message if you like!

One of our favorite events took place this week--Resident of the Month. We honored three individuals as October residents of the month and each story enlightened, educated and inspired us. It is such a privilege to learn more about the special folks who make their home at Cedar Village and a real joy to share these events with family, friends and community.

All the best,
