Book Buddies: Save Money on Your Textbooks!
Parents, be on the lookout for more information about this great option for purchasing textbooks. The Book Buddies website was created to facilitate the buying and selling of used textbooks within our school community. Sellers can post books for sale and buyers can find books for purchase with this easy-to-use online "bulletin board." Textbook selections are currently being finalized for next year. As soon as this list is complete, parents will receive an email with the link and directions on how to use the site.

Join Pacific Ridge at The Old Globe on August 29th!

For the 6th year in a row, Pacific Ridge families are invited to come together for an evening at Balboa Park's beautiful Old Globe Theatre. This year's selected performance is Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors, a fast-paced, farcical tale of two sets of identical twins accidentally separated at birth. A link for ticket sales, complete with a promotional code for Pacific Ridge families, is on its way. Save the date of August 29th at 8:00 p.m., and be on the lookout for a summer email with more information about this popular community outing.

Ready for High School? Check Out Our Freshman Seminar

As part of Pacific Ridge's academic summer programs, incoming 9th graders can take a one-week Freshman Seminar in early August. The class will introduce new students to concepts such as Harkness, and help them enhance work habits and skills that will lead to success in Pacific Ridge's Upper School. Saying Goodbye to the Class of 2015
The 82 members of the Class of 2015, along with many family members and friends, enjoyed a joyful commencement ceremony on June 11th. After an introduction by Upper School co-heads Allegra Molineaux and Tim Betzala, Senior Class President Michelle Levitt and Student Body Vice President Kayla Causey warmly recalled experiences from the class's six years at the school. Student Body President Christian Potter thanked faculty members for their commitment and compassion, before introducing Head of School Dr. Bob Ogle, who applauded the seniors' remarkable ability to commit themselves fully and joyfully to whatever they do. A heartfelt and amusing video message from faculty and a performance of "Home" by senior musicians preceded the presentation of diplomas and reading of the class's senior statement. The ceremony concluded with the graduation chorus performing "Blessings," and the traditional tossing of mortarboards. Congratulations, graduates!

A few goofy photos kept the soon-to-be graduates laughing!
