Our Campus Is Our Canvas! Groundbreaking, Part 2
On Thursday, March 6th, the Pacific Ridge community gathered on the lawn between the Middle School and Mullady Hall to celebrate the start of construction that will transform the campus. In a joyful and artistic jam session, students painted segments of the sidewalk that had been carefully prepared with outlines of the initials "PRS." Several colorful, concrete panels were preserved, hopefully for display in the new Arts Center! For more images from the event, please visit the Pacific Ridge School Facebook page.

Speaker Highlights Creative Careers in STEAM Fields
On Wednesday, March 5th, computer scientist Sarah Esper spoke to Middle School students about careers in STEAM-related fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math). Armed with knowledge of the park's history and the cultural context of the artwork, students contemplated the murals and created projects in five areas: STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math), Spanish Translation, Photography, Creative Writing and Sketching. Projects selected by the class were presented at a Community Life on March 11th.
