Families Enjoy Old Globe Performance
On Saturday, August 17th, Pacific Ridge families enjoyed a late summer picnic in Balboa Park and an entertaining and thought-provoking performance of Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice. The play, which combines humor and pathos while presenting a number of challenging social issues, will be studied by 7th grade English students this year. Many thanks to the Parents Association, Thalia Causey and Sue Sanderson for organizing this annual event.

Parents Association

Textbook Exchange Update

Many hours of volunteer work went into the Parents Association Textbook Exchange, resulting in almost 300 textbooks changing hands within the Pacific Ridge community. Thank you to those who filed, checked in, lifted and lifted some more to provide this service to our families! The Parents Association is coordinating the donation of unsold books to both classroom sets and the library. Any remaining textbooks will be utilized by student groups for fundraisers or service projects. Individuals who requested their unsold books be returned are being contacted individually to coordinate those returns. Questions? Please contact the Parents Association at parentsassociation@pacificridge.org.

Coach Aly Dahl was pleased by the impression the visit had on her players. "Having our students interact with the national team players was a great way to start the season," she said. "It set a new standard for how we are going to build our team culture." Go Firebirds!
