AGILE: Explained

Certified Agile Process Owner (CAPO)
  • Operational equivalent of a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
  • Responsible for maximizing the value of a process and the work of the process improvement team

Certified Agile Service Manager (CASM)
  • Operational equivalent of a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
  • Responsible for ensuring Agile Service Management theory, practices and rules are understood
CAPO and CASM are both role-based qualifications and so the right course for you depends on your current or desired role and your learning objectives. Both are grounded in Agile Service Management which involves adapting Agile and Scrum values and practices to IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and process design and improvement activities. Agile Service Management practices enable organizations to iteratively and incrementally design and improve ITSM processes and to ensure those processes deliver 'just enough' control to meet business needs.
