AXELOS Updates
AXELOS, the ITIL� Accreditor, has recently announced they are working on a Continual Professional Development (CPD) service to support the AXELOS Global Best Practice Portfolio including ITIL.

 

From their press release...

"The CPD programme will create and establish lifelong personal brand value by enabling individuals to stay current in their knowledge and protect the investment they have made in the AXELOS Global Best Practice qualifications. This best of breed service is designed to be truly customer centric - tailoring professional development to individual needs and allowing an individual to learn in a way that best suits them."       Read More

 
 
AXELOS has also announced as of 3/31/2015, they will be withdrawing the credits allocated to the complementary courses in the ITIL Qualification Scheme.  This means that the Certified Process Design Engineer (CPDE) and the ISO/IEC20000 Foundation Bridge courses will soon no longer earn credits toward ITIL Expert.  


 
We have schedule two public CPDE classes and one ISO Bridge class prior to the withdrawal date.  If you have any questions, or would like to register for a public class, please reach out to our Enrollment Specialist Eric Montijo - emontijo@itsmacademy.com. Trust is by far the most critical element of a DevOps culture.  It is also the most difficult to achieve.  IT was not built for trust.  The silo structure that is common in most IT organizations was built for specialization and territorial ownership.  The silo walls are thick.

While DevOps may not be able to break down the silos, but it can encourage and groom a culture of trust.
