Home Run Guide Volume 2
Greetings!

With Fall in the air (it was 27 degrees last night), it's been a memorable week here in Jackson Hole. On Saturday, September 8, we were alerted by text message to a wildfire across the highway from our home. It was a fast-spreading fire and we grabbed the dog, our laptops, a few papers, and quickly evacuated.

We were able to get back home later that evening but the fire is still only 15% contained, and with high winds expected this afternoon the entire town is still on edge. The smoke is so intense that it is hard to be outside for more than a minute or two, and we all have scratchy throats, headaches and runny eyes. Hats of to the men and women who have worked so hard to keep us safe. They are true heroes!

There are some new items in the shop...if you are interested in colors and patinas I have lots of things to choose from, including the entire line of Vintaj Patinas, lots of colors of Gilder's Paste, and the old faithful Liver of Sulfur, it both chunk and gel form. These products are a great way to add color and depth to your jewelry and other craft work.

Keep creating,

Charlene Anderson

What is YOUR Favorite?

It's no secret that I love chainmaille jewelry. I love making it and I love wearing it. To me, the process of making chainmaille is much like knitting, though instead working with one stitch at a time, you add one ring at a time to your work, developing patterns and texture in an infinite variety.

What is your favorite jewelry technique? Beadweaving, stringing, or coldworking metal? How about casting, glass fusing, or wire work?

I'd love to see photos of your work, and share them with my readers. Just send your photos (along with your full name and a brief description of the project) to [email protected]. My favorites will be featured in future newsletters AND will received a special prize. So get those pictures in now!
