Healing Naturally - The Story of the Tangerine Tree
Dr. Ming Wu's office has a large tangerine tree. It was doing very poorly last year. Friends of Dr. Wu suggested different ways to help this tree, including using  tangerine tree pesticide, medicine, and severe trimming.

Believing that these methods will do more harm than good, Dr. Wu refused to use any of them. Some of his friends even complained to Dr. Wu, saying that he was letting the tree die. Dr. Wu re-potted the tree in new soil, moved it to a spot with the right lighting, and gave the tree the proper care it needed.

To all of his friends' 'surprise, the tangerine tree recovered, and even bore a lot of fruit.

A friend wrote the following song based on this true story.
Tangerine Tree song  (Find The Root Cause) by Kim Fleck
                    listen here

Once I reached up to the sky/ Wind singing my words/ Making fruit for passers by/ Homes for nesting birds

Now my bark is cracked and thin/ Leaves turn brown and dry/ Branches tremble in the wind/ No tears left to cry

Refrain:
Find the root cause...heal me
Find the root cause...naturally
Find the root cause...heal me
Find the root cause...naturally

People came with chemicals/ Medicine and knives/ Are they trying to kill me?/ How will I survive?

Surely there's a better way/ Follow Nature's laws/ Food, water, and love each day/ Tending the root cause

Refrain
