It is true that Habitat touches the lives of the families we serve. But, did you know that HFHMM can make a larger, more lasting impact through advocacy efforts than actually building?

It will take all of the Habitat affiliates across the globe 5,500 years to solve the current housing problem by building, rehabilitating, and repairing one home at a time. Through advocacy, Habitat can reach more families in need and monitor and help change policy by influencing political agendas, corporate behavior, and public policy.

DO MORE 24

Do More 24™ is a local movement that brings together nonprofit organizations, companies, and people committed to making a difference. Through focused online giving on June 4, 2015, Do More 24 provides the opportunity for people to create solutions to our region's most difficult social challenges by determining which issues matter most to them and channeling their funding towards tackling those problems. We encourage you to give where you live and help low-income families in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties achieve their goal of homeownership.

$10 buys a box of nails to help build a future for low-income families.

$25 buys a bundle of shingles to protect a family from the elements.

$50 buys a light fixture for a family to have dinner under.

$100 buys a year of electrical work to provide light for the children to do homework.

$150 buys a painted room to brighten a home.

$250 buys a door to open a whole new world.

Join us as we Do More by giving back over a period of 24 hours on June 4^th.

HFHMM is planning another trip to El Barrial, El

Salvador soon to promote affordable housing internationally. Through a partnership, HFHMM committed to a long term project in this community to improve the lives of residents.

Volunteers dedicate a week of their time to build a simple, decent, affordable home for a deserving family in the community.

It is through your support that HFHMM is able to continue its support of this initiative. HFHMM tithes 10% of its unrestricted funding to help build homes internationally.

Through this project, HFHMM helps your dollar go further by not only providing affordable housing initiatives domestically, but also internationally.
