THE IMPACT OF HOMEOWNERSHIP

Habitat doesn't just build homes, it builds empowerment , stability, community, financial freedom, health, connections, and moments. In a recent issue of Habitat for Humanity International's magazine, Habitat World, HFHI shares the stories of families from all over the world who are helped in more ways than one through Habitat's mission.

According to Habitat Minnesota, 92% of homeowners said their lives were better since moving into their home. Of that 92%, 89% said they attributed that positive change to Habitat either "completely" or "a lot."

When we pass over the key at a dedication, we are not only giving a family access to a stable roof, but a new life.

GLOBAL VILLAGE

HFHMM is planning another trip to El Barrial, El

Salvador soon to promote affordable housing internationally. Through a partnership, HFHMM committed to a long term project in this community to improve the lives of residents.

Volunteers dedicate a week of their time to build a simple, decent, affordable home for a deserving family in the community.

It is through your support that HFHMM is able to continue its support of this initiative. HFHMM tithes 10% of its unrestricted funding to help build homes internationally.

Through this project, HFHMM helps your dollar go further by not only providing affordable housing initiatives domestically, but also internationally.

Interested in joining us on a build in El Salvador? Check out the Global Village section of our website for more information about the upcoming trip or contact our Director of Program Services

COMMUNITY NIGHT OUT

Host a Community Night Out at a local restaurant!

Want to find a way to help HFHMM, but don't know how? Do you love good food, a great atmosphere and lots of company? Know a great restaurant that loves to help a good cause? Help HFHMM plan a Community Night Out in your area.

HFHMM hopes to increase its presence in the community by meeting supporters where they live and work. Have a great meal in your neighborhood and learn about our organization while the restaurant donates 10 - 15% of the proceeds to alleviate substandard housing.
