Parish and Ministry Events
Christmas Schedule
Greening of the Church will be the afternoon of December 20.
Christmas Eve December 24: Children's Eucharist at 4:30p, Choir Cantata at 9:30p followed by Traditional Eucharist at 10:00p.
Lessons and Carols will be held December 27. 

Conversation and Communion
Conversation and Communion will meet at Grace Coffee Shop, 740 Bypass Road on the following Tuesdays: January 5, 12, 19, 26, February 2, 9, 16, March 1, 8, 15, 22. Light soup/salad/sandwiches available from 5:30-6. Discussion from 6-7 followed by Holy Communion for those who desire to participate. 

Learn about Islam
Learn about Islam: Dr. Nadia Rasheed has graciously offered to teach us about Islam and her experience as a refugee to this country. If you are interested in participating in a January, 4-week class please sign up on the sheet in McCready Hall.

Diocesan News
Art at the Cathedral
Each Church in the Lexington Diocese is invited to participate in an art exhibit "Sacred Sites - Art of the Episcopal Diocese of Lexington" at the Cathedral from January 10-March 16. The Exhibit will be on display for the 2016 Diocese Convention in Lexington in 2016, and will be featured at Gallery Hop at the Cathedral on January 15, 2016. If you are interested in participating in this exhibit please contact Rev. Chana.

Community Events
NAMI - Winchester
Bring your family and friends for the NAMI - Winchester's 2015 Christmas and Holiday Celebration on Monday, December 7 at 6:30pm. The celebration will be at Emmanuel Episcopal Church - McCready Hall. (2410 Lexington Road, Winchester, KY)

Bring a side dish of your choice to share (salad, vegetable, dessert, etc) NAMI will supply meat, bread, beverages and paper goods.

If you would like to exchange a gift, bring an unwrapped white elephant item. (The item does not need to be new.)

We are filling a box of food items for Clark County Community Services. If you'd like, bring a non perishable food item to include in the box.

Please RSVP at 859-749-3702 by Friday, December 4 to let us know how many guests will attend with you.

Salvation Army Bell Ringers Needed
The Salvation Army is in need of bell ringers during the holiday season. Please see Mary Jo Bonds for more information.

New Mothers Group

A psycho-educational group to provide nurturing and support to new mothers with at least one child under a year old. Facilitated by Elizabeth Davis Morton, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
 
Meets 7:15pm-8:45pm: December 5, December 19, December 30, January 7, January 22, February 4
 
Topics of discussion include physical and emotional recovery from delivery; baby schedules vs family schedules; return to workplace or work at home; financial adjustments when a baby arrives; changes in sex lives; post-partum anxiety and depression; faith, healing, celebrating, and mourning; self-care. $35 per session.

Operation Happiness
Our emphasis on hospitality starts with the new church year! We really need Emmanuel members to sign up to help with hospitality - greeting people at each door, showing people where to go to the next building, making sure that every person is met with a smile, helping to carry coats and bags if needed. This is one of the MOST important ministries of the day. Please sign up on the volunteer signup sheet in McCready.

Empty Bowls Fundraiser
The First Presbyterian Church is holding an Empty Bowls fundraiser in their basement on December 4, 11am - 1pm. The cost to attend is $15 per person.

Home for the Holidays Collection Drive
Help spread the Holiday Cheer! As the Season gets colder, warm your heart by donating to the Clark County Homeless Coalition. From now until December 31 you can drop off any of the below items to: 19 Wainscott Avenue.
