TSA PreCheck

Travel Services

U.S. Transportation Security Administration PreCheck enrollment offices have opened in Miami and Fort Lauderdale and are now processing in-person applications from U.S. residents who want to join the expedited airline security program.

The Cuban Interests Section in Washington, D.C. - which processes visa applications for the U.S. because Cuba does not have an embassy in that nation - last week shut down all visa operations except for "humanitarian cases." The decision is likely due to the fact that the agency's U.S. bank has stopped foreign mission-related banking services, and the agency has been unable to find a new bank. There are several workarounds for U.S. citizens to obtain visas for Cuba visits, including working directly with Havana for visas. Most tour operators handle the visa process directly and will not be impacted.
