Bible Study for Wednesday, April 22nd both mid-day and evening will be moved to the Youth Chapel. The front lobby is being renovated.

It's Graduation Time Again! The Graduation Packet for all 2015 High School and College grads is now available. The deadline to turn in your packet is May 7th at 2:00pm. As always, there is an option for our High School Seniors to write an essay for a scholarship opportunity. For more information, contact Rev. Shawn or Sis. Diona at ext. 216.


 

Mt. Zion College Prep 101 presents: "AN ALTERNATIVE TO COLLEGE" where we will focus on the US ARMED FORCES as a career alternative. Representatives will be here to provide you with detailed information and answer your questions. So, if you are thinking about joining the ARMY, AIR FORCE, MARINES or NAVY, come join us on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 6:30 pm on the 2nd floor. FMI: Kathie Lewis or Toni Walker.

Mt Zion Children & Youth Ministry will host a Mother's Day Mother & Son Flag Football Game on Saturday April 25th at 10:00am at Lake Vista Park. Registration Fee is $7.00 per player (covers the cost of t-shirt & souvenirs). Registration tables are located on the 2nd floor and out front. We're also looking for event volunteers and stand-in players! FMI: Rev. Shawn Thomas or Sis. Kathie Lewis (727) 894-4311. REGISTRATION ENDS: Sunday April 12th * We will have stand-in players available for mom's who do not wish to play. * This event is for boys & young men that are in the 3rd thru 12th grade.


Sistahs Surviving Breast Cancer and the Mt. Zion Women's Ministry presents THE MANY FACES OF MOTHERS! Mother's Day Brunch, on Saturday, May 9th in the 2nd floor Dining Room. Tickets are $15 Children under 3 are FREE . Tickets will be on sale starting Sunday, 4/3/15.

 

The Relay for Life South St. Petersburg will be held on Saturday, May 2nd from 10:00am - 10:00pm at Lakewood High School. Come out and support Team Mt. Zionites!   Sign up to walk, give a donation or both.   If you are a cancer survivor with a story you want to share, please contact Sis. Timeka Walker at 727-560-6224.

 

May is the month we honor our great Pastor, Rev. Louis Murphy. This year will be no different. Mark your calendar for Pastor's Anniversary Celebration Service and Dinner on Wednesday, May 20th.  More information will be coming your way soon.

 

Mt Zion our annual Church Picnic is being planned for Saturday, May 16th at Lake Vista Park. There will be lots of food, fun, games and fellowship. Registration information will be available soon so get ready, get ready, get ready for a good time.


 

Teens ages between 16 - 21 as of April 24th may be eligible for a summer job through the Summer Youth Intern Program. Teens can pick up an application at the church office. This program is sponsored by Boley Centers, Inc.
