As a child growing up in St. Petersburg, Florida, Louis Murphy, Jr. always dreamed of playing college football, and eventually being granted the opportunity to play in the National Football League. Once this goal was accomplished he wanted to give back to youth something that was missing from his life...the tools to succeed off the field.
Murphy's mother fearlessly battled Metastatic Breast Cancer, passing away in 2008. She worked with troubled youth throughout her career, demonstrating the importance of giving back to the community. Honoring his mother's legacy, Murphy. was inspired to give back to the community his mother dedicated her life to.
