Graduation Recognition Service is quickly approaching and we want to ensure that it is a successful event for all participants. Below is an outline of the schedule for the day. Who: Pre-K, Kindergarten, Fifth Graders, High School and College Graduates
When: Sunday, June 8, 2014
Where: Mt. Zion Progressive M.B.C.
Rehearsal: ALL graduates are asked to arrive at the church no later than 8:45 AM for a brief rehearsal and walk-through. It is important that everyone is present and on time, as only these individuals will be included in the processional and recognized during the service, which includes receiving any certificates, gifts, etc.
Essay Winners: Our High School and Fifth Grade Essay Winners will be announced during the recognition service. If you entered an essay it is very important that you are present, in the event your essay is selected. There will be 3 winners in each group.
High School: 3 Scholarships valued at $750, $500, and $250
Fifth Grade: 3 Book bags packed with gear for the 6th Grade
Ultimate, Superior and Essential
Attire: All graduates are required to wear their cap & gown.
Seating: We will have reserved seating for the graduates, their immediate family (parents and siblings), and staff of the Children's Center and Christian Academy. Guests are asked to arrive no later than 10:00 AM.
Reception: A brief reception will be held for the graduates immediately following the service. Graduates will be dismissed to the second floor at the appropriate time.
