Looking for ways to volunteer this spring? Check out short-term and special event volunteer opportunities with the United Way for the coming months.

Hunger Free Vermont is an education and advocacy organization with the mission to end the injustice of hunger and malnutrition for all Vermonters.

Volunteer with Neighbor Rides

Neighbor Rides is a strategic initiative of United Way of Chittenden County supported by a dynamic group of community partners that brings people and places together to help meet the transportation needs of seniors and persons with disabilities. This partnership uses volunteer drivers to leverage government and community-funded transportation programs and help more people by decreasing the cost per ride.

Happy new year! 2016 is an exciting milestone for the CCRPC: It's the year we celebrate our 50th anniversary.

Since our inception in 1966, we have partnered with our municipalities, residents, business, non-profit organizations, and all levels of government to help Chittenden County grow and thrive. Together with our partners, we have worked to preserve our environment, plan for sustainable growth, create a safe and equitable community, and bolster our workforce and economy. The challenges and opportunities are ongoing, and the collaboration between all sectors makes Chittenden County an excellent and renowned place to live, work, and play.

Throughout the year ahead, we will be looking back on our 50 years, highlighting significant events and successes that have brought us to where we are today. Stay tuned for features in our monthly newsletter, a timeline on our new website (coming March 2016), and fun ways to get involved.

As we reflect on the goals, plans, and partnerships that helped us reach this milestone year, a huge thank you goes out to our municipalities and our residents who believe in Chittenden County and the high quality of life we seek to preserve and enhance.

Here's to another 50 years!

Best regards,

Charlie Baker
Executive Director
