It's hard to believe we're nearing the end of 2015! As we gear up for a new year, we're working closely with our municipalities to prepare for the high priority issues that lie ahead.
On December 10th, we held our 2nd municipal legislative breakfast for Chittenden County municipal representatives and legislators to connect on a few key issues for the upcoming legislative session. This event was well attended and yielded some great discussion.
To recap, the meeting was framed around three primary topics: Smart Growth, Water Quality, and Municipal Shared Services. [View the full agenda here.] The discussion surrounding each topic focused on what can be done at the municipal, regional, and State level to make improvements to our systems. You can watch a recording of this event here.
With the start of a new year, we will work together to build upon our collaborative successes and address new challenges and opportunities. And as we look toward 2016 and reflect on the many ways we all work together to improve our communities, we'd like to thank each of you for staying in touch and involved with the CCRPC throughout the year.
Wishing you a happy and healthy holiday season!
Best regards,
Charlie Baker Executive Director |
