Save the Date
3rd Annual KVP Spring Carnival, Saturday, April 23, 2016, 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Please join us for this fun, family event. Grab the family and come to play games, get your face painted, bounce around in the jumpy house, dance with DJ Encore, and munch on some tasty treats. Please check your scholar's homeroom webpage regularly for more information.
Journey Cards
Do you have your 13 stamps already? Do you have even more? Good for you! If you need more stamps please see the options below. Thank you to those of you who have really embraced this new system and have even made it fun.
Here are 13 ways to earn those stamps.
-Volunteer in the classroom
-Attend a basketball or soccer game
-Assist at a Girl Scouts or Cub Scouts Meeting (alternating Wednesdays after school)
-Attend Village meetings, especially on Friday mornings
-Use the KVC Parent Center
-Attend a mini-orientation immediately following Friday Celebration (new parents only)
-Come to Visionary lunch, if applicable
-Join us on a field trip
-Donate gently used KVP uniforms
-Donate new books to your child's homeroom
-Help with a class project from your home (check with the teachers)
-Have your child work on Odyssey for at least 20 minutes over spring break (one stamp)
-Attend the Spring Carnival (LAST opportunity to receive a stamp)
EOTY Trip Payment Deadlines
- 1st grade payment deadline (overnight at the Aquarium) has been extended to Friday, April 1.
- Kindergarten trip payment deadline (day in Atlanta) remains April 1, 2016
- 2nd grade payment deadline (Savannah, GA) remains April 15, 2016
There will be NO further extensions.
Will My Scholar Have Enough Points?
Many of you have expressed concerns about your scholar earning enough points to go on the trip. Please know that we want all scholars to earn their chance to participate in these fun events and have put in place two options that may help them. Please check your scholar's homeroom webpage for more details on these options.

-a KVP blazer
-white shirt/blouse
-the necktie of the upcoming year, and navy pants for boys
-a navy cross tie and navy skirt for girls
-navy or black socks
-black shoes

1st and 2nd grade scholars must wear:

Blazers can be purchased in the front office for $35.00 (husky sizes are $40.00). Cross ties and neck ties can be purchased from Charter School Uniforms (date of availability TBA in the next bulletin).

UMOJA - Collaborative Dance Recital |
Please join us on March 30, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. for our annual KIPP Metro Atlanta Regional Dance Recital - UMOJA! This year, KIPP Vision Academy and KIPP Vision Primary will be participating.
