It's Survey Time - You Could Win a TV! |
DEADLINE IS TOMORROW, DECEMBER 16TH AT 11:59 PM
Parents, it's that time of year again, survey time! Each year, the KIPP Foundation and Georgia Department of Education surveys parents to determine areas where we are doing well and opportunities for growth. Because we value your input and feedback, our goal is to have a 100% participation rate. This year, both surveys are electronic and can be completed on a computer or mobile device.
Here's your chance to win a 42" flat screen TV!
To help us get to 100%, we have an opportunity for you to enter a raffle to win a 42" flat screen TV on December 18th and an opportunity for your scholar to attend a special celebration party. All you have to do is complete the steps below on or before December 16th!
- Click on the links below to complete the KIPP Foundation and Georgia CCRPI survey.
- KIPP Foundation Survey- We only need one survey per household per school, so for example, if you have two children attending the same KIPP school, you only need to fill out the survey once. However, if you have two children attending two different KIPP schools, you would need to fill out two surveys.
- Georgia CCRPI Survey- We only need one survey per household per school, so for example, if you have two children attending the same KIPP school, you only need to fill out the survey once. However, if you have two children attending two different KIPP schools, you would need to fill out two surveys.
- Take a screenshot or picture of the confirmation page after you complete each survey. You should have a minimum of two pictures.
- Click on the KIPP Vision Campus survey confirmation link and complete the form. On this form, you will enter your information and your scholar's information as well as upload the confirmation pictures from step 2.
- Completing this step on or before December 16th will enter you into the raffle and confirm your scholar's attendance at the celebration party.
- You must upload a minimum of one confirmation picture for the Foundation survey and a minimum of one for the Georgia CCRPI survey.
- If you have scholars that attend KVP and KVA, submit one confirmation form for your scholars at KVP and one for your scholars at KVA.
- If you need help or access to a computer, please come to the front office during school hours.
- All surveys and the KVC form can be completed on your cell phone as long as it has a camera and internet access.

8th Grade Parents - Intent to Enroll Forms for KAC |
For the 2016-17 school year, we are offering our 8th grade families the opportunity to automatically secure a 9th grade seat at KIPP Atlanta Collegiate without completing an enrollment application or entering the Spring lottery. We are asking that you complete the electronic Intent to Enroll form to indicate whether or not you intend to enroll your student in the 9th grade at KIPP Atlanta Collegiate for the 2016-17 school year.
The FINAL deadline to submit this Intent to Enroll form is Friday, December 18, 2015 at 5pm EST. This form will not be available after the deadline. If you do not submit a form by the deadline and later decide you do want to enroll your 8th grader in the 9th grade at KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, you will be required to submit an enrollment application during the open enrollment period.
Please note the following:
- If the number of intent to enroll forms received by the December 18th deadline exceeds the number of available 9th grade seats, all 8th graders will be required to complete an enrollment application and participate in the lottery on March 16, 2016.
- If fewer intent to enroll forms are received, your student will automatically secure a 9th grade seat for the 2016-17 school year pending the timely completion of the registration process in February 2016. Failure to complete the registration process by the required February deadline may result in the loss of your student's seat.
After the December 18th deadline passes, you will be updated at the e-mail address you provided on the form.

How to Talk to Your Child About What's Going on in the News
Television or internet coverage of upsetting events like natural disasters, terrorist attacks, or mass shootings can cause kids to worry that something similar could happen to them or their loved ones. It can also make them fear some aspects of everyday life - things that never worried them before. Help your child by putting the news in its proper context and addressing their concerns. Click here for a helpful article on how to start that conversation. If you are in emotional distress caused by recent events or know someone who is, find help with this free resource or by calling the Disaster Distress Hotline at 1-800-985-5990 or text TalkWithUs to 66746.
