Family,
Thank you to those of you who attended parent conferences this past week. The meetings were productive and focused on student achievement, and we hope you left with materials and ideas to help your child grow.
If you were not able to attend conferences this past week, please reach out to your child's teachers to arrange a make-up conference. We value these conferences as a necessary way to communicate the strengths and areas of growth for your child so that they can succeed. As part of our commitment to excellence, we commit to having parent conferences with every parent, and as part of your commitment to excellence, parents must attend a conference to pick up their child's report card.
Thank you for doing whatever it takes to ensure that your scholar is successful.
With my whole heart,
Dr. Wheda A. Carletos, Ph.D.

Literacy on the Go
Families, please join us on Thursday, November 12, 2015, 5:30 -7:00 PM for ...Literacy-On-The-Go! A handsfree guide to incorporating literacy building skills into our daily lives.
This workshop will be an exciting night to help you launch your scholar into literacy success. As caregivers, we are busy people. As Atlantans, we are often in transit. This workshop will help you learn how to support your scholar's literacy development on the go and without cumbersome or expensive materials. All you need is YOU, your imagination, and a little help from us. The strategies and training you will receive will be specific to your scholars STEP level and their current needs.
We look forward to seeing you (and your Parent Engagement Card) next Thursday! Please bring canned goods for our food drive, which will close on Friday, November 13.
