| Weekly Bulletin | | On Wednesday, October 14, 2015, your scholar received their Tuesday packet. This week's Tuesday packet included the weekly paycheck. Progress reports were not sent home, as 1st Quarter just ended. Please return the signature page on Wednesday, as it will be collected in homeroom.

| KIPPster Support Conferences DATE CHANGE | 
The dates for the KIPPster support conferences have changed to October 19th and 21st. If you signed up previously, your conference has been moved to the next Monday and Wednesday. Please check the link attached and if your new date/time does not work for you please contact your scholar's GLC to assist you. We are sorry for any inconvenience!
If you have NOT signed up, please sign up using the information below.
We cannot believe it is the end of the first quarter already! As we prepare for the second quarter, it is important that we take the time to review the last quarter and ensure that we are ready to end this semester in excellence. Family-teacher conferences will be extended to all families, but are MANDATORY for all scholars that have failed two, or more classes in the first quarter. The conferences will be held October 19th and 21st between 4:20PM and 6:30PM. Below you will find the link to schedule a conference with your scholar's grade level team. Please access the link below and under the <Table View> tab write your scholar's name in an open time slot. Each time has four openings so that you are able to pick a time that best works for you.
Quarter 1 Progress Reports
Progress report distribution will begin this Friday (October 16th). Progress reports will be available in the KIPP Vision Academy Leadership Suite anytime between the hours of 8:00 am and 7:00pm. If your child is failing two or more classes, it is mandatory to attend one of the conference times October 19th or 21st.

| Funtumfunafu Induction Ceremony | |
Kiambote KIPP Team and Family!
On October 23, 2015, we are honored to induct the first class of Funtumfunafu Society Members (FSM) for the 2015- 2016 school year. There are three levels to FS this year and the criteria for each level will be evaluated on a quarterly basis. The first group of scholars met the criteria for Quarter 1 based on their grades and paycheck and behavioral records.
Click here for the criteria and help your scholar strive to be a Funtumfunafu Society Member as well as work toward reaching the Gold. The Quarter 1 Funtumfunafu Society cycle went from July 27th to October 2nd in order to align with our paycheck cycles and get the most accurate data possible.

| Annual Title I Meeting | |
Please join KVC (KIPP Vision Academy and KIPP Vision Primary) for our
Annual Title I Meeting. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
During this meeting, we will discuss our school curriculum and academic
goals, our Title I school designation status, our parents' right to know,
and distribute our recently revised school/parent compact and parent
involvement policy.

| Great American Fundraiser & New Fundraiser |
Thank you for participating in our school fundraiser, "Great American". Because of your hard work, we were able to raise money to go towards the end of the year trips for the 2015 - 2016 school year. Once again, thank you for your generosity and support. We look forward to your participation in the next fundraiser!
IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN! The Poppin' Popcorn fundraiser has returned just in time for the holidays! Our next fundraiser is presented by "The Goodies Factory". The Goodies Factory brochure encompasses a variety of gourmet popcorn flavors, whether you enjoy savory treats like Jalapeņo or White Cheddar, crunchy flavors like Buttery Caramel and Chicago Style, or sweet dessert flavors like Cookies & Cream and Peanut Butter Chocolate, there's something for everyone!
Here is the best thing! The profit (40% of total amount sold) from the items that you sell will go directly towards your child's fees for the end of the year trip! The top seller in each grade will receive a trophy and the top selling homeroom will win a pizza party. Let's get started!

Call to Conference - Georgia PTA District 10
Click here for the Call to Conference notice for Georgia PTA District 10. This years conference will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 9am - 12:30pm at Sandy Springs Middle School. District 10 will will host a panel of experts discussing (1) Mental Health and Mental Illness: Identify, Support and Advocate for Children and (2) Child Trafficking, What Every Parent Should Know to Protect Children.
