MAP Testing
During the period of August 12 - August 21, 2015, 5th grade and new 6th - 8th grade scholars will be engaged in taking the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Assessment in the content areas of Reading, Math and English/Language Arts.

The MAP Assessment is a computer adaptive assessment that will give teachers, students and parents detailed information regarding their child's strengths and areas of improvement in each tested content area.  This assessment will replace the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS), a norm-referenced test that our students have taken in the past.  The MAP Assessment is also a norm-referenced test, which will compare your scholar's performance against all of their peers in the nation who take this assessment.

The MAP Assessment will be given 3 times this year- fall, mid-year and spring.  Parents, please ensure that your child is at school everyday, well rested and ready for testing.  Our goal is for all students who will be tested to be present and on time every day.
