We are proud to have served our community for 35 years. Take a moment to watch and listen as our founding storykeeper, Dottie Kluttz, interviews the volunteers who brought our organization from a dream to reality in the late 70's. Please consider hosting a Summer Nights fundraising birthday party on our behalf during June! Full details explaining just how easy this can be are available here.

Update on the Demere Center for Living |
The fundraising campaign to bring the Demere Center for Living to fruition is coming to an end! The $3,000,000 campaign makes possible four much-needed enhancements for our community: the new Edel Caregiver Institute, a relocated Steward Center for Palliative Care, expanded Full Circle programs, and increased educational opportunities. With less than $65,000 to go, it's not too late to make a gift to the Demere Center for Living! Naming opportunities are still available and gifts of every size help. Please contact Megan Kerley, Vice President of Hospice Savannah Foundation, to discuss how you can join with others to help make a difference: 912.629.1025 or mkerley@HospiceSavannahHelps.org. Construction on the Demere Center for Living is anticipated to begin in July 2015.

Pet Peace of MindŽ awarded $2,000 grant
|
Amie's Place, a New York not-for-profit corporate Foundation dedicated to preventing unnecessary forced separation of people from their pets and supporting people who are at risk of losing their pets at times of crisis, has awarded our Pet Peace of MindŽ program a one-time grant of $2,000. The mission of the Foundation almost perfectly mirrors our work which began three years ago with a start-up grant from the Banfield Charitable Trust to help keep pets together with their terminally ill owners during the end of life and, when needed, to assist in finding forever homes for pets after their owners' death. Read more about Amie's Place and our program here.
