Hi to all,
  Lindert Photo November 2012
Have you ever had the feeling of being OVERWHELMED?!

I don't know about you, but lately, even I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed.

Here in New Jersey, we have had two hurricanes, a freak winter storm, and an earthquake all within a year. And that is just the weather part of it all! I have seen some of my friends lose their homes with this last hurricane. It has been heartbreaking seeing people's homes just washed away or burnt to the ground while no one can do a thing about it. Mother Nature has shown us how powerful she is and God has shown us how resilient we are.

Trees in Hurricane

Then we see what is happening in the world---wars, unemployment, groups hating other groups---and for what reason?   Watching what is happening is not only unnerving, but overwhelming. Do I think we are headed for the end of the world? NO!  Do I think that we are still learning and growing? YES!

I see how much we are like nature, fighting for our survival. And yet, we as humans have a side to us that looks to help others. To reach across the street, our nation or the world to help out others in need.   We help people and animals, we save trees and the ocean. We are by all rights good and caring. So what makes us get to the point of being overwhelmed? Why do we have to fight? Is it because we still have those instincts in us to protect what is ours? To defend what we believe in? I think the answer is YES.

What we need to learn as a race, though, is compromise. Even as children learn this, it is a bitter pill to swallow. In many parts of New Jersey, Halloween was canceled. It was too dangerous and the people in the towns had to deal with cleaning up, no power, cold nights and long gas lines! So those families with small children had to teach them how to deal with no Halloween. Just like adults had to deal with no power, long gas lines and in some instances a total loss of their homes, cars or even loved ones.

Man Head in Hands All these lessons are overwhelming and upsetting yet they make us stronger. Sometimes the emotions last longer than the lesson and we have to learn how to not let those emotions get in our way so we can cope and live better.

Using EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), also known as Tapping, can help you to release those emotions so you can move on and be happy. We all need to let go of past experiences that hold us back, that we use as a crutch or that sabotage our lives. EFT helps to get rid of those negative thoughts; with EFT, we choose what we will do instead, making our lives better.

Maybe all the people in the world need to do some tapping to release pent up hostilities so we can start living in a happier, peaceful and greener world. I vote yes!  When you tap, you will see and feel the difference. I guarantee it will help you.
