Celebrating 100 Years of Filmmaking in 
the Redwood Region 1916 to 2016
The 9th annual Film in California Conference took place this past May. The day-long event featured sessions and presentations by various industry professionals. 

This conference reminded me that although we have some of the most gorgeous locations in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties, that ALL of California is truly a location 'treasure trove'.

Film in California Conference

More than 500 industry professionals gathered Saturday, May 21st at CBS Studio Center in Studio City for the 9th Annual Film in California Conference co-hosted by the California Film Commission and Film Liaisons in California Statewide (FLICS).

The conference included legendary keynote speaker, Gary Marshall, five industry panels, booths with info from industry specialists and film commissioners in California, and concluded with, Writer-Director-Producer, Ryan Murphy, receiving the first-ever California Golden SLATE Award.
