2016 marks the 100th year anniversary of the first film ever shot in the Humboldt-Del Norte Region. It was a silent, black & white series entitled
"A Lass of the Lumberlands" and it was filmed in Arcata and Eureka. We've come such a long way since then, but the natural beauty of our region hasn't changed. The time has never been better to film in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties!

Bright Future of New Works
Recently, the redwood region has enjoyed the likes of Kirsten Dunst filming "Woodshock" and Paul Dano & Daniel Radcliffe filming "Swiss Army Man." A big congrats to "Swiss Army Man" for their participation at the Sundance Film Festival!
