Happy New Year!  With the newest Star Wars The Force Awakens movie out this holiday season, we are reminded that our own Del Norte County's redwood forest was the unforgettable backdrop for Endor in Return of the Jedi.  Del Norte County has much to offer any production.  Check it out!

DEL NORTE COUNTY
Along with their gorgeous Redwoods, Del Norte County has two lighthouses, winding forested and coastal roads and miles of picturesque California coastline with sea stacks.  With all of this natural rugged beauty, Del Norte also has the modern conveniences you need in Crescent City. Del Norte County is often referred to as the real Northern California because so much of it is still so wild, rugged, and untouched!
RETURN OF THE JEDI
Return of the Jedi is arguably the most popular of the Star Wars movies, because of the endearing Ewoks, their village, and their home moonplanet called Endor. Del Norte County has bragging rights as the Jedidiah Smith State Park - as well as private property in Del Norte County - were the locations utilized for filming this epic space opera.
REDWOOD PARKS
Del Norte County has both public and private redwood parks available for filming. You may inquire with us at the Film Commision for more information!

CRESCENT CITY

Crescenty City is California's northernmost city, only 20 miles from the Oregon state border.

Crescent City has all the modern conveniences of a city, including lodging, restaurants, retail stores, tourist attractions and an airport. It also offers outdoor activities such as hiking, surfing, kayaking, camping, fishing and much more.
