Red Bull features
Chris Sharma

Sharma found the perfect tree smack in the middle of the City of Eureka! Resources, such as hotel accommodations and catering were just minutes away from this redwood grove.

The trees in this grove can be over 300 feet and 600 years old according to the scientists that consulted the Red Bull shoot.

We recently had the honor and privilege of having an Olympic athlete, as well as a world-renowned rock climber - shoot in our gorgeous redwoods. Our incredible variety of trees were showcased in the photographs, from building sized wide tree stumps, to 300 plus foot tall trees, and everything in between.

Olympic Archer

We have Redwood trees unlike anywhere else in the world, and for ESPN the Magazine's "The Body Issue", they recently were the perfect natural backdrop. Archery seems to also go hand in hand with a primeval forest setting, and U.S. Olympian Athlete Khatuna Lorig couldn't look anymore stunning than in this recent photo shoot.

Tree Climber

Chris Sharma, a Santa Cruz native, was first an expert and known as one of the best rock climbers in the world. His iconic first ascents of routes named Realization (5.15a) and Jumbo Love (5.15b) were the first of those respective grades in the world and milestone achievements in the sport of rock climbing. Sharma decided to go back to his roots and attempted to climb a redwood! Red Bull helped make that dream come true!
