New Crisfield Library  
Recently the library was awarded $3 million to begin  construction of the new Crisfield Library branchThe new 21st Century facility will:
  • Increase from 3,249 sq. ft. to approximately 15,000 sq. ft
  • Offer a broader collection of materials
  • Provide quality programming for all ages - toddler to senior, including story times for preschoolers, genealogical research, history seminars, music performances, and special Summer Reading programs
  • Enhance educational opportunities, by providing added space for programs and for additional computers and technology
  • Offer meeting space for nonprofit and community groups for workshops, training, and group meeting
  • Provide better computer access - with the addition of up to 30 computers support of educational initiatives will be provided, it will be easier to engage in on-line job training, resume building and job searches.
Groundbreaking will take place this Fall.
