Arthritis, migraines, low back pain.  Ugh!  Who needs it?  The growing trend is to help yourself with non-medication therapies for pain management.  Even things like massage may help!

While most of us have experienced pain of one kind or another, only about 25% of us have pain that persists long after an injury, infection, or other problem.

Not only does it reduce inflammation and swelling but it also appears to reduce anxiety; and it is our anxiety about pain that can intensify our experience of it.

Also, in terms of the vicious cycle of pain (causing insomnia that can lead to exhaustion and more pain) massage has shown promise in restoring normal sleep patterns.
