You may have already received an issue or two of New & Next, the Alliance for Housing Solutions' recently launched occasional newsletter about housing: upcoming events, issues before the County Board, new initiatives and updates, etc.
Now, Housing Intelligence offers resources to help expand your understanding of the importance of a housing mix that serves households of varying incomes and
how affordable housing is created and preserved. It will provide context for what you read about housing in the news, blogs, and letters to the editor and inform your own contributions to the conversation.
To start, we're sharing Just the Facts: An affordable housing source book (to read online or print out). In a compact format, it lays out the basics on housing affordability, with supporting data, messaging tips, and County resource links. The Just the Facts link above takes you to our web site, where you can also explore resources from AHS events and expand your housing perspective via our Twitter feed.
For anyone living outside of Arlington: If you like what we've done with Just the Facts, we encourage you to copy the format and substitute your local data. Contact us (katedahs@gmail.com) for help adapting our source book and charts to tell your community's housing story.
