We are now almost 3 weeks out from the Little Bighorn Staff Ride sponsored by the U.S. Fish and WIldlife Service! Here are some thoughts to help you in your preliminary study phase of this staff ride. - Orient yourself to the history by clicking your way through the Wikipedia article on the battle.
- Don't worry too much about the history ... the purpose of this staff ride is to study leadership and dynamic decision-making. We are not historians!
- If you are interested in more in-depth study, we recommend A Terrible Glory: Custer and the Little Bighorn - the Last Great Battle of the American West by James Donovan.
- We will provide a hard-copy staff ride guide during the icebreaker and initial orientation on Sunday evening the 4th of October.
