Roosevelt District Leaders Retreat

All REGISTERED Roosevelt District Committee and Commissioner's Service Members are invited to participate in a District Leadership Retreat on Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 8 am - 1 pm hosted by your Key 4 Leadership Team. Email invitations were sent out the week of May 30, 2016. Please check your email inboxes or SPAM folders. The email includes four documents: an invitation, a map of Delmont Camp, a copy of "A Self-Evaluation Guide for Successful District Operation", and the 2016 Journey to Excellence Scorecard for Districts. Please print them out in preparation for a great day of discussion.

Food will be provided. So that we can adequately prepare for the retreat please respond to your invitation NO LATER THAN June 11 by completing the registration link on your invitation or HERE. If you are attendending please were your Class B uniform.

Round Table Social

Philadelphia Protestant Home

Our last Round Table of the scouting year is fast approaching, and we are having a social with some light refreshments. We are asking everyone that is coming to bring some shareable food and or drinks. There will be some summer announcements followed by some scouting camaraderie. This is a great opportunity to meet some of the new faces at district and reconnect with some close friends.

Next year we will have a new team heading up our Round Tables. As a district we would like to thank Bob Houston for his commitment to Round Table for the last few years.

Here in Roosevelt we have the opportunity to have two day camps in and near our district. This means that we need four staff directors, two for each camp. Next year one of our Day Camp Directors will be attending the National Jamboree, and will not be able to attend Day Camp. Has your cub scout signed up for Day Camp yet? Its not too late! Registration for our Day Camps will close two weeks before each camp. We are also looking for adult volunteers, and Den Chiefs (Boy Scouts). You need to sign up for Day Camp through the council website (

The Communications Team is organizing a Scout Night at the June 26 Penny Pack Music Fest. This is a Wednesday night and featuring the band "The Best of the Eagles" (an Eagles Tribute Band). This is a free concert in Penny Pack Park from 7 - 930 pm at the Ed Kelly Amphitheater (Welsh and Cresco st). We are asking for you and your family to join us this night for some good music. This is picnic style event so bring your chair, food and wear your Class B uniforms. We would like the people of NE Philly that scouting is alive and active in Philadelphia.
