Popcorn
So far Conestoga District has sold over $80,000 of popcorn!

Our District Goal is $136,000 so lets keep the motivation going the last couple of weeks of Show & Sells and Take Orders.

Any product you know you will sell via Show & Sell (based on current sales tracking) or are 90% sure you will be able to use to fill Take Orders, please keep and use.  Product you know you won't or likely won't sell (in full cases), needs to be returned to roundtable tonight or directly to the Council office before the end of this week.

Please contact Dave Zimmerman for any popcorn swaps or returns.
Fall Recruiting

Sign up events are mostly done but we are following up with schools we haven't been in yet and doing another round of recruiting for units who didn't get the sign-ups needed to hit their goals.

If you have applications, please bring them to Roundtable or let BettyAnn know ASAP to get them submitted.

Den Chiefs
Does your Pack have a Den Chief?
At least 1 for each den?
Does your Troop send Den Chiefs to help Packs?

Boy Scouts need leadership skills and Cub Scouts need youth leaders. We have 19 Packs in Conestoga and not even half have Den Chiefs, let's fix that!

If you need help connecting to a Pack/Troop, please let BettyAnn Atkinson know.

Training

All leaders on 2015 Cradle of Liberty Council charters must be position-specific trained, along with having current Youth Protection Training.

Charter paperwork is due to be turned in COMPLETED on November 1st.  This is the biggest hold-up in completing charter paperwork each year. Please make sure all leaders are fully trained before then.

ALL Youth Protection must be valid through May 1, 2015.
  • All assistant Scoutmasters and assistant Venturing advisers must complete basic training. Assistant Scoutmasters and assistant Venturing crew advisers age 21 and older can register as a member of the troop or crew committee if they do not complete their classroom-style leader training.
  • All Cub Scout leader training and committee training for both troops and packs is available online at myscouting.org.
  • Venturing committee training is expected to be available from BSA National in spring of 2014 and will be mandatory for crew committee members at that time.

Click HERE for the training calendar.

Congratulations Fernandes Family!
Congratulations to our District Executive, Matthew Fernandes and his wife Amanda on the birth of their first child!

"Amanda and I are excited to introduce our happy healthy peanut, Ms Isabella Maria Fernandes weighing in at a perfect 6 pounds 5oz measuring 20 in with plenty of hair to go around! We can't wait to bring her around and meet everyone."
