District Awards

With the District Dinner fast approaching, it's the time of year to honor leaders that have provided outstanding service to Scouting in the past year.  Here is a breakdown of the awards and how to nominate an individual:

Unit Scouter Award - Each unit may select one adult volunteer that has provided outstanding service to the unit this past year.  This can include those directly involved with program (Cubmasters, Den Leaders, Scoutmasters, ASMs, etc.), as well as those involved on the committee.  Please click here to fill out the form to nominate someone from your unit.  Those nominated will receive the award the night of the District Dinner, so please ensure that they sign-up, as well as to have leaders and Scouts from your unit there.

District Award of Merit - This award is the district equivalent of the "Silver Beaver" which is awarded on a council level.  Volunteers who have given their time and outstanding work to the district may be nominated for this award, whether it be unit service, or as part of the District Committee.  You may download the form by clicking here and either mail it into council or email it to Chris Smith at chris.smith@scouting.org.

You may also submit individual awards to be presented at the District Dinner.  All awards, include Unit Scouter & District Award of Merit must be turned in, or emailed to District Executive Chris by April 4th, 2014.  For any questions, please email your DE at chris.smith@scouting.org or your District Commissioner Gregg at gregg820@comcast.net.
