2013 Wood Badge Training - Help NEEDED

A Scout(er) is Helpful

We have a veteran scouter in our council who wants to take Wood Badge Training this fall. He needs some help.

Brain Woznicki took Wood Badge course NE-V-55 in 1980. This Eagle Scout joined Troop 652 in 1964. He has been active as a scout and leader ever since.

Committed to life long learning, Brian wants to bring his scouting skill sets up to date by completing Wood Badge Course NE5-525-13 this fall at Musser Scout Reservation, Green Lane, Pa.

Brian needs some help to do this. He has a physical disability and uses a power wheelchair. During the course, Brian will need help with the following?

    Person Hygiene/mouth care

    Swallowing prescribed medication

Will you assist Brian?

If you plan to take this year's Wood Badge Course, would you be willing to assist Brian in camp? It could be a rewarding experience. The Course Director will offer a 50% campership to a scouter who commits to assist Brian. Also, Brian will provide brief training/orientation prior to the course. Anyone interested should contact Gerry Myers, 610-539-7789 or thepamyers@msn.com

Your 2013 Wood Badge Staff has been pounding the pavement, speaking at roundtables and targeting prospective participants for the September-October Wood Badge Course. We have spoken to many interested Scouters and answered many, if not all, your questions. We stand ready to answer many more.

The Course will be conducted September 7, 8, & 9th and October 12, 13, & 14th, 2013. The Cost is $250.00. Any questions please contact Gerry Myers, Course Director at 215-815-1865 or thepamyers@msn.com and we will respond.
