PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Hello Evergreen Families -
We hope you had a wonderful mid-winter break resting, relaxing, and rejuvenating. February is an opportunity to celebrate and honor many people. Valentines' Day is affectionately referred to as the National Day of Love and Hallmark has done a fabulous job of promoting and marketing this opportunity to tell those around us how much we love and appreciate them. February also reminds us to honor and thank the 44 men who have nobly served as our Commander in Chief in their role being President of the United States. We also celebrate Black History Month, National Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, as well as Counselor Appreciation Week. But outside of national holidays, remembrances, weekly or monthly celebrations, we have an opportunity to tell those around us how much we love and appreciate them. It's always nice to receive a piece, or many pieces depending on the size of the box, of chocolate from someone special but it's even more heartfelt to receive a handwritten note of love or appreciation. There are many people to love and thank and we do not need a national holiday to express our appreciation. Love is expressed well on February 14; at Evergreen we work hard to create an environment of love and kindness that extends all 365 days a year. We have created events in February to thank those around us and are working with our Leadership class and ASB to continue our Love & Kindness campaign throughout the remainder of the year as well.
Hopefully you were able to express your love and appreciation to those around you this past weekend, and hopefully you will take the opportunity this week and in the weeks to come to write someone, albeit a president, a teacher, a counselor, a friend, a family member, or someone else a short note to say thank you for all they've done. As leaders and staff members at Evergreen, we want you to know how much we appreciate your partnership with us.
We look forward to continuing this journey with you and helping your student grow in all facets of their education.
Wishing you all our best,
Principal Evergreen Middle School
